l-glutamine

L-glutamine and glutamic acid are amino acids which are closely related. The human body can synthesize L-glutamine from the aminon acid glutamic acid through chemical processes. Due to glutamine's presence in a large number of metabolic processes in the body, it has the highest concentrations in the blood plasma, the muscles and in the brain and spinal fluid. With a proportion of 20% glutamine is the main component of the pool of free amino acid in the blood plasma (400-600 micromol / l). It is as also responsible for the accumulation of water in the cell and causes the enlargement of the cell volume during exercise.
